About
Cristina “Pink” Varela is a first-generation Honduran-Guatemalan American interdisciplinary creative based in Los Angeles. Her practice spans fine art, writing, design, object-making, and collaborative production. Her work and projects extend across the U.S. and internationally.
Her work brings together things that are usually kept apart: cute and unsettling, past and future, personal and cultural, handmade and technological. She is interested in balance, contradiction, and the new meanings that emerge when different worlds collide.
